There is a clear need for the amendments and for new issues to be included in order to improve the functioning of FRONTEX, such as exploitation of the information obtained through the liaison officer networks and exchange of this via ICONet (secure Information and Coordination Network for Member States’ migration management services), accessing the External Borders Fund to promote the creation of liaison officer networks and facilitate their operation and, lastly, expediting the system for the presentation of half-yearly reports.
Il s’avère clairement nécessaire d’inclure les amendements et les nouvelles questions pour améliorer le fonctionnement de FRONTEX, comme l’exploitation des informations obtenues par les réseaux d’officiers de liaison et l’échange de celles-ci au travers d’ICONet (réseau d’information et de coordination sécurisé connecté à l’internet pour les services des États membres chargés de la gestion des flux migratoires), l’accès au Fonds pour les frontières extérieures afin de renforcer la création de réseaux d’officiers de liaison et faciliter leur fonctionnement et, en dernier lieu, la contribution au système de présentation des rapports semestriels.
