Recalls the UfM's commitment to support the establishment of a deepened free trade area in the Euro-Mediterranean region and enhanced regional and sub-regional economic integration; considers that the establishment of a free trade area on the southern shore of the Mediterranean and between the North and the South will lead to stronger links and increased trade and investment amongst the partner countries, thus helping to bridge the North-South divide; calls, therefore, for the Agadir Agreement to be implemented properly and extended to all eligible Mediterranean partners; stresses the importance of increasing complementarity between North-South bilateral cooperation and multilateral Euro-Mediterranean cooperation;
Rappelle l'engagement de l'UpM à soutenir la création d'une zone de libre-échange approfondie dans la région euro-méditerranéenne et une meilleure intégration économique régionale et sous-régionale; considère que la création d'une zone de libre-échange dans la rive Sud de la Méditerranée et entre le Nord et le Sud permettra d'approfondir les liens et d'augmenter les échanges commerciaux et les investissements entre les pays partenaires et participe à l'objectif de combler le fossé Nord-Sud; invite à ce titre à une mise en œuvre effective de l'Accord d'Agadir et à son extension à l'ensemble des partenaires méditerranéens éligibles; insiste sur l'importance de renforcer la complémentarité entre les coopérations bilatérales Nord-Sud et les coopérations multilatérales euro-méditerranéennes;

Points out that the aim of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation is not just to consolidate bilateral relations, but also to establish cooperation and regional integration networks; calls on the Commission to give practical expression to the relationship between the ENP and the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership and to conclude new multilateral energy and transport agreements while strengthening the existing agreements;
10. rappelle l'objectif de la coopération euro méditerranéenne qui est non seulement le renforcement des relations bilatérales mais également la création de réseaux de coopération et l'intégration régionale; demande à la Commission de concrétiser le rapport entre la PEV et le partenariat euro-méditerranéen et de conclure de nouveaux accords multilatéraux en matière d'énergie et de transports en renforçant les accords existants;

Whereas education is a major priority of the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and constitutes a significant investment in human capital, promoting cultural closeness and civil dialogue reducing the disparities of both shores of the Mediterranean, increasing competitiveness as well as social, economic and territorial cohesion within a framework of sustainable development;
Considérant l'enseignement comme une priorité essentielle de la coopération euro-méditerranéenne et un investissement précieux dans le capital humain, pour encourager la proximité culturelle et le dialogue civil, réduire les disparités des deux côtés de la Méditerranée, renforcer la compétitivité ainsi que la cohésion sociale, économique et territoriale sur fond de développement durable;
