8. verzoekt de Commissie ervoor te zorgen dat de energiegerelateerde aspecten van de activiteiten van multilaterale organisaties op het gebied van handel, financiën en ontwikkeling, met name de WTO, de Wereldbank en haar investeringskader voor schone energie en duurzame ontwikkeling (Investment Framework for Clean Energy and Sustainable Development), de Internationale Financieringsmaatschappij en het Raamverdrag van de Verenigde Naties inzake klimaatverandering, een prominentere plaats krijgen en meer steun te verlenen aan multilaterale technische initiatieven als het Partnerschap voor de vermindering van het affakkelen van gas, het Initiatief inzake transparantie van winningsindustrieën, de Financiële Actiegroep, de Evenaarprincipes (Equator Principles) van de Internationale Financieringsmaatschappij en Inogate (Grensoverschrijdend olie- en gasvervoer naar Europa);
8. invite la Commission à favoriser un renforcement des aspects liés à l'énergie parmi les activités mises en œuvre par certaines organisations multilatérales dans le domaine commercial, financier et du développement, et notamment l'Organisation mondiale du commerce, la Banque mondiale et son Cadre d'investissement pour l'énergie propre et le développement durable, la Société financière internationale (SFI) et la convention cadre des Nations unies sur le changement climatique, et la prie d'accorder un soutien accru aux initiatives techniques multilatérales, telles que le partenariat en vue de la réduction du brûlage de gaz à la torche, l'initiative en faveur de la transparence des industries extractives, le Groupe d’action financière, les "principes d'équateur" mis en place par la SFI et le projet inogate;

F. overwegende dat de EIB met betrekking tot het verstrekken van kredieten buiten de EU de in haar Environmental Statement 2004 uitgedrukte ondersteuning voor het "UNEP Statement by Financial Institutions on Environment and Sustainable Development" en voor de "Equator Principles" in haar nieuwe Development Impact Assessment Framework, ten minste voor projecten in het kader van de Cotonou-investeringsfaciliteit van de Overeenkomst van Cotonou, op verheugende wijze concretiseert,
F. considérant que, s'agissant de l'octroi de crédits en dehors de l'Union européenne, la BEI réussit à donner, dans son nouveau cadre d'évaluation des incidences sur le développement (Development Impact Assessment Framework), une traduction concrète au soutien annoncé dans sa Déclaration sur l'environnement 2004 à la Déclaration des institutions financières sur l'environnement et le développement durable du PNUE et aux principes d'Équateur ("Equator principles"), à tout le moins pour les projets réalisés dans le cadre de la facilité d'investissement de Cotonou,
