Op haar initiatief heeft de Katholieke Universiteit Leuven samen met de Ministers Stefaan De Clerck, Annemie Turtelboom en Vincent Van Quickenborne en de bedrijven Microsoft, Febelfin, CSC Belgium, Cisco Systems en Atos Origin Belgium vandaag een intentieverklaring ondertekend tot oprichting van een ‘Belgium Cybercrime Centre of Excellence for Training, Research and Education’.

Les derniers thèmes traités lors de ces réunions ont été : « How to achieve excellence in the European Research Area » (Paris, juin 2003); « Internationalisation of national R&D systems : policies, priority setting, institutional challenges » (Helsinki, juin 2002); Attractiveness of scientific Carreers » (Athènes, juin 2001); « R&D funding strategies and priority setting » (Stockholm, juin 2000); « Evaluation of Public expenditure in R&D : methodologies, impacts, consequences » (Dublin, juin 1999).

Op 20 juni 2011 zullen de ERC en de Hongaarse Academie van Wetenschappen in Boedapest een conferentie organiseren over "Promoting excellence in research in Europe" (het bevorderen van toponderzoek in Europa).
Une conférence organisée par le CER et l'Académie des sciences de Hongrie sur le thème "Promouvoir l'excellence dans la recherche européenne" aura lieu le 20 juin 2011 à Budapest.
