Having regard to the fundamental principles of the 1972 UNESCO Convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage and the decisions of the World Heritage Committee, the Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict (The Hague, 14 May 1954) at its latest session in Vilnius in 2006, recalls the need to safeguard the sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List and the UNESCO List of World Heritage in Danger in territories affected by current conflicts, with particular reference to the recent development in the Old City of Jerusalem, fully respecting the communities living there and in compliance with international law; in this context welcomes the decision of the Director-General of UNESCO, Koïchiro Matsuura, to send a technical fact-finding mission to the Old City of Jerusalem, and welcomes the report issued by UNESCO on March 12, 2007 at the end of its mission,
15. ayant rappelé les principes fondamentaux de la Convention UNESCO de 1972, concernant la protection du patrimoine mondial, culturel et naturel, la Convention pour la protection des biens culturels en cas de conflit armé (La Haye, 14 mai 1954) ainsi que les décisions du Comité du patrimoine mondial lors de sa dernière session à Vilnius en 2006, rappelle la nécessité de protéger les sites, inscrits sur la Liste du patrimoine mondial et sur la Liste du patrimoine mondial en péril de l'UNESCO, situés sur les territoires intéressés par les conflits actuellement en cours, notamment le développement récent dans la Vieille Ville de Jérusalem, dans le plein respect des communautés résidentes et du droit international; dans ce contexte, accueille avec faveur la décision du Directeur général de l'UNESCO, Koïchiro Matsuura, d'envoyer une mission technique dans la Vieille Ville de Jérusalem, et accueillit le rapport mis à point le 12 mars 2007 par l'UNESCO à l'issue de sa mission,

4. is verheugd over het feit dat de besprekingen tussen de Filippijnse regering en de NDFP onder Noorse bemiddeling in november 2008 in Oslo werden hervat en hoopt dat het ook in dit geval spoedig kan komen tot officiële onderhandelingen; doet een beroep op de partijen om hun bilaterale overeenkomsten voor het JMC na te komen, om overleg te voeren aan de hand van de Comprehensive Agreement on Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (CARHRIHL) en niets in de weg te leggen aan gezamenlijke onderzoeken naar mensenrechtenschendingen;
4. se félicite des pourparlers qui ont eu lieu, sous médiation norvégienne, à Oslo en novembre 2008 entre le gouvernement philippin et le FDNP et souhaite également que des négociations officielles soient prochainement réengagées dans ce cadre; appelle les parties à se conformer aux accords bilatéraux pour le comité mixte de suivi qu'ils ont conclus, à se rencontrer en application de l'accord global sur le respect des droits de l'homme et du droit humanitaire international et à accepter des enquêtes communes sur les violations des droits de l'homme;
