De commissaris was zo vriendelijk erop te wijzen hoeveel waarde ikzelf aan dit thema hecht. Onze samenwerking had ook belangrijke, persoonlijke consequenties. Wij hadden duidelijk het gevoel dat het hele bedrijfsleven, vooral op Europees niveau, bij het wetenschappelijk onderzoek betrokken moet worden, omdat wij het anders allemaal niet bolwerken.
