Enfin, Monsieur le Président, je voudrais mentionner que le 10? décembre dernier, Journée internationale des droits de l’homme, le Réseau des femmes de Mano River Union pour la paix s’est vu décerner le prix 2003 des Nations unies dans le domaine des droits de l’homme.

In de rand van de bijzondere zitting van de Verenigde Naties «Women 2000 Gender equality Development and Peace for the twenty first Century» van 5 tot 9 juni 2000 in New York, stelde de minister dat de Belgische ratificatieprocedure van het optionol protocol bij het CEDAW-verdrag nog diezelfde maand zou kunnen afgerond worden.
En marge de la session extraordinaire des Nations unies «Women 2000 Gender equality Development and Peace for the twenty first Century», qui s'est tenue du 5 au 9 juin 2000 à New York, la ministre avait déclaré que la procédure belge de ratification du protocole optionnel du traité CEDAW pourrait encore être clôturée avant la fin du même mois.
