44. Highlights the need for the Committee on Petitions to step up its collaboration with other EU institutions and bodies, and with the national authorities in the Member States; considers enhanced dialogues and systematic cooperation with Member States, especially with the petitions committees of the national parliaments, to be essential; recommends that all Member States parliaments that have not yet done so form petitions committees; considers the visit to the Committee on 2 December 2014 by a delegation of the petitions committee of the Scottish Parliament to be an example of such collaboration, and that partnerships of this kind will make it possible to share best practices, pool experiences gained and bring to fruition an efficacious and systematic procedure for forwarding petitions to the bodies responsible;
44. souligne la nécessité de renforcer la collaboration de la commission des pétitions avec les autres institutions et organes de l'Union, ainsi qu'avec les autorités nationales des États membres; estime qu'il est essentiel d'améliorer le dialogue et la coopération systématique avec les États membres, en particulier avec les commissions des pétitions des parlements nationaux; recommande que tous les parlements des États membres qui ne l'ont pas encore fait constituent des commissions des pétitions; considère que la visite à la commission, le 2 décembre 2014, d'une délégation de la commission des pétitions du Parlement écossais a été un exemple de cette collaboration et qu'un tel partenariat permettra d'échanger les meilleures pratiques, de mettre en commun les acquis de l'expérience et de mettre au point une pratique systématique et efficace de transmission des pétitions aux organes compétents;

Welcomes the Guiding Principles on Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations developed jointly by the Social Protection Committee and the Employment Committee; welcomes in particular the role of the Social Protection Committee in enabling a direct exchange of experience among Member States, including in respect of long-term care and pensions;

– (PT) Mr President, the Committee on Industry considers this report to be quite positive. It feels that the indicators in euros paint a more reliable picture than the current measurement and eligibility criteria and also considers that the unemployment indicators are important because in some regions, only 44% of people of working age are in employment, although disparities in production are also significant.
- (PT) Monsieur le Président, la commission de l’industrie considère que ce rapport est très positif, elle considère que les indicateurs en euros offrent un tableau plus fidèle que les critères actuels de mesure et d’éligibilité, elle considère aussi que les indicateurs de chômage sont importants parce que certaines régions enregistrent un taux d’emploi de 44 % seulement, mais les écarts de productivité sont également importants.
