If I have understood you correctly – and I hope that I have understood you correctly and have not confused my wishes with reality – I think that you want to fight this battle, that you are not going to give up your capacity for initiative, that you are going to try to ensure that, before this Parliament finishes its work and this Commission finishes its work, we will finally have a recast Works Council Directive, after an eight-year wait.
Monsieur le Commissaire, si je vous ai bien compris –et j’espère que je vous ai bien compris et que je n’ai pas pris mes rêves pour la réalité –, je pense que vous voulez vous battre, que vous n’abandonnerez pas votre capacité d’initiative, que vous essayerez de garantir que, avant la fin du mandat du Parlement et de la Commission, nous aurons une directive de refonte sur le comité d’entreprise après huit ans d’attente.
