In particular, conditions for the provision of a service should be separated from the actual definitional elements of a publicly available telephone service, i.e. an electronic communications service made available to the public for originating and receiving, directly or indirectly, national or national and international calls through a number or numbers in a national or international telephone numbering plan, whether such a service is based on circuit switching or packet switching technology.
En particulier, il convient de séparer les conditions de la fourniture d’un service et les éléments qui définissent réellement un service téléphonique accessible au public, c’est-à-dire un service de communications électroniques mis à la disposition du public pour lui permettre de donner et de recevoir, directement ou indirectement, des appels nationaux ou des appels nationaux et internationaux, en composant un ou plusieurs numéros du plan national ou international de numérotation téléphonique, que ce service soit fondé sur une technologie de commutation de circuits ou de commutation par paquets.

In this respect, the Communication of the Commission entitled "Accounting Harmonisation: A New Strategy vis-à-vis International Harmonisation" called for the European Union to work to maintain consistency between Community Accounting Directives and developments in international accounting standard setting, in particular within the International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC).
À cet égard, la communication de la Commission intitulée "L'harmonisation comptable: une nouvelle stratégie au regard de l'harmonisation internationale" appelait l'Union européenne à oeuvrer pour préserver la cohérence des directives comptables communautaires avec les travaux menés au niveau international, notamment par l'IASC (International Accounting Standards Committee), en matière de normalisation comptable.
