Council Decision 2007/198/Euratom established the European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy (‘Joint Undertaking’) in order to make available the contribution of the European Atomic Energy Community (‘Euratom’) to the ITER International Fusion Energy Organisation and to the Broader Approach Activities with Japan, as well as to prepare and coordinate a programme of activities in preparation for the construction of a demonstration fusion reactor and related facilities.
La décision 2007/198/Euratom du Conseil a institué une entreprise commune européenne pour ITER et le développement de l'énergie de fusion (ci-après dénommée «entreprise commune») afin d'apporter la contribution de la Communauté européenne de l'énergie atomique (ci-après dénommée «Euratom») à l'Organisation internationale ITER pour l'énergie de fusion et aux activités relevant de l'approche élargie avec le Japon ainsi que pour élaborer et coordonner un programme d'activités en préparation de la construction d'un réacteur de fusion de démonstration et des installations associées.

The Community contribution is managed through the ' European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy' (hereinafter ' Fusion for Energy' ), established by Council Decision of 27 March 2007.
La contribution communautaire est gérée par l'intermédiaire de l'«entreprise commune européenne pour ITER et le développement de l'énergie de fusion» (ci-après dénommée «fusion à des fins énergétiques») établie par la décision du Conseil du 27 mars 2007.

– having regard to the Court of Auditors’ report on the annual accounts of the European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy for the financial year ended 31 December 2010, together with the replies of the Joint Undertaking,
– vu le rapport de la Cour des comptes sur les comptes annuels de l’entreprise commune pour ITER et le développement de l’énergie de fusion relatifs à l'exercice clos le 31 décembre 2010, accompagné des réponses de l'entreprise commune,

– having regard to the Financial Regulation of the European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy, adopted by decision of 22 October 2007 of the Joint Undertaking's Governing Board (hereinafter ‘ITER Financial Regulation’),
– vu le règlement financier de l'entreprise commune européenne pour ITER et le développement de l'énergie de fusion, adopté par décision de son conseil de direction le 22 octobre 2007 (ci-après dénommé «règlement financier ITER»),

– having regard to the Court of Auditors' report on the annual accounts of the European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy for the financial year ended 31 December 2009, together with the replies of the Joint Undertaking ,

1. Grants the Director of the European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy discharge in respect of the implementation of the Joint Undertaking's budget for the financial year 2009,

1. The name of the Joint Undertaking shall be ‘The European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy (Fusion for Energy)’ (the Joint Undertaking).
