This proposal puts forward a maximum ceiling of EUR 28 billion for the EIB financing operations under EU guarantee throughout the period 2014-2020 and breaks down the ceiling into two parts:

62. se félicite des travaux entrepris par la BEI-FEMIP mais souligne la nécessité d'établir des synergies avec d'autres établissements financiers internationaux également actifs dans la région; propose une nouvelle fois la création d'une institution financière euro-méditérranéenne de codéveloppement, dont la BEI resterait l'actionnaire principal; est favorable au relèvement du plafond de la garantie de la BEI pour lui permettre de maintenir l'intensité de ses activités dans la région au cours des prochaines années; invite la BERD à modifier son statut afin de pouvoir participer également à ce processus d'assistance financière;
