The actions have been identified with the objective to promote the participation of non-G7 countries, create awareness of the functionalities of the GIP system and its relevance to the development of information society as a tool for the free exchange of information as well as fostering international investments through its brokerage function.
Les initiatives ont été définies en vue de promouvoir la participation des pays qui ne font pas partie du G7, de sensibiliser le public aux fonctionnalités du système GIP et à sa pertinence pour le développement de la société de l'information en tant qu'outil de libre échange de données, et d'encourager les investissements internationaux par sa fonction d'intermédiaire.
