111. Calls on the Commission to give it greater involvement in sector-specific investigations, while safeguarding the confidentiality of certain information submitted by stakeholders; calls for Council regulations in future to be based on Article 114 TFEU, which deals with the functioning of the internal market, so that they can be adopted under the codecision procedure, if the desired Treaty amendment is not expected soon; emphasises that the work on the Directive on Damages Claims can provide a template for future interinstitutional cooperation in competition matters; calls on the Competition Commissioner to continue the dialogue begun with the relevant Parliament committees, and with the Competition Working Group of Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs;
111. demande à la Commission d'associer davantage le Parlement aux enquêtes sectorielles tout en veillant à protéger la confidentialité de certaines informations transmises par les parties prenantes; demande que les règlements du Conseil adoptés jusqu'à présent soient à l'avenir fondés sur l'article 114 du traité FUE, qui se rapporte au fonctionnement du marché intérieur, et soient dès lors adoptés au moyen de la procédure de codécision si la modification souhaitée du traité devait se faire attendre; souligne que les travaux sur la directive relative aux dommages et intérêts peuvent servir de modèle à suivre pour la coopération interinstitutionnelle future en matière de questions relevant du droit de la concurrence; invite la commissaire à la concurrence à poursuivre le dialogue entamé avec les commissions pertinentes du Parlement ainsi qu'avec le groupe de travail sur la concurrence de la commission des affaires économiques et monétaires du Parlement;

– (FR) Madam President, my group is totally supportive of the interinstitutional agreement of 25 May 1999 on the internal investigations which the anti-fraud office must be able to carry out within the institutions, bodies or agencies of the Communities, including the European Parliament.
