Finally, we are encouraging the government to reinforce the importance of the North American continental perimeter, not only because of the issues that have arisen in the last year or so with respect to the international traffic and arms regulations but also because it's a privileged trading partner of ours, and we need to ensure that we have that border as an ally, both economically and for security purposes.
Enfin, nous encourageons le gouvernement à renforcer l'importance du périmètre continental nord-américain, non seulement en raison des problèmes survenus depuis environ un an relativement au transport international et à la réglementation des armements, mais aussi parce que les États-Unis sont pour nous un important partenaire commercial, et qu'il nous faut veiller à ce qu'ils restent nos alliés, tant sur le plan économique qu'à des fins de sécurité.
