I am glad to be able to say that the fifth EC-Japan Symposium on industrial cooperation, which Minister TAMURA and I had the pleasure of addressing a few minutes ago, is proving to be a success.

I think what federal and provincial ministers of agriculture envisage is that after a series of symposiums and workshops there will be a major federal-provincial-industry conference, probably in the spring of 1999, that will try to bring together the discussions that have been occurring over the last several years.
