(a.2) the information was consulted in accordance with paragraph (2)(b) or (b.1) and they combine it with, or link it to, law enforcement information for the purpose of verifying the sex offender’s compliance with an order or with an obligation under section 490.019 or 490.02901 of the Criminal Code, section 227.06 of the National Defence Act or section 36.1 of the International Transfer of Offenders Act or for the purpose of preventing or investigating an offence under section 490.031 or 490.0311 of the Criminal Code, an offence under either of those provisions that is punishable under section 130 of the National Defence Act or an offence under section 119.1 of that Act; or

(b) the information was consulted in accordance with paragraph (2)(b) or (b.1) and they compare it with other information for the purpose of verifying compliance by the sex offender with an order or with an obligation under section 490.019 or 490.02901 of the Criminal Code, section 227.06 of the National Defence Act or section 36.1 of the International Transfer of Offenders Act or for the purpose of preventing or investigating an offence under section 490.031, 490.0311 or 490.0312 of the Criminal Code — or an offence under any of those provisions that is punishable under section 130 of the National Defence Act — or an offence under section 119.1 of that Act; or

(6) Any person who has made an assignment to the Minister of National Defence under this section, in respect of any covenants and agreements contained in such assignment for keeping the invention secret and otherwise in respect of all matters relating to that invention, and any other person who has knowledge of such assignment and of such covenants and agreements, shall be, for the purposes of the Security of Information Act, deemed to be persons having in their possession or control information respecting those matters that has been entrusted to them in confidence by any person holding office under Her Majesty, and the communication of any of that information by the first mentioned persons to any person other than one to whom they are authorized to communicate with, by or on behalf of the Minister of National Defence, is an offence under section 4 of the Security of Information Act.

That, in the opinion of this House, this government has lacked a commitment to principled environmental policy backed by action which is urgently needed to address the climate change crisis, and it is the further opinion of this House that the government has consistently ignored the legislative and regulatory powers at its disposal that allow the government to take immediate and decisive action to reduce Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions in order to achieve meaningful and science-based reduction targets, and therefore the House calls upon the government to: (a) use the legislative, regulatory and fiscal authorities already available to the Government of Canada to put in place immediately a national climate change plan that implements economy-wide regulations on greenhouse gas emissions, and invests in renewable energy, clean technology and energy efficiency in order for Canada to compete in the new green economy; (b) stop putting Canada’s environmental and economic future at risk by insisting that Canada must wait for the United States to act first before showing our own leadership on this most vital issue; (c) set a domestic legally-binding long-term greenhouse gas reduction target of 80 percent below 1990 levels by 2050; (d) report to Parliament annually on its policies and proposals to achieve the trajectory toward the 80 percent target and revise as necessary; (e) establish a non-partisan expert group approved by Parliament to set a science-based emissions trajectory to reach that 80 percent reduction target so that Canada does its part to keep global temperature increases to below 2oC; (f) reverse the decision to cut the ecoENERGY program that allowed Canadians to receive a rebate for greening their homes using energy efficient products and services; (g) restore Canada’s tarnished international environmental reputation by implementing Canada’s international commitment made during the Copenhagen negotiations to provide our fair share of new climate change ...
Que, de l'avis de la Chambre, le gouvernement a manqué de s’engager à élaborer une politique environnementale basée sur des principes et appuyée par des actions, politique dont le besoin est urgent afin de s'attaquer à la crise du changement climatique, et la Chambre est d'autant plus d'avis que le gouvernement a persisté à ignorer les pouvoirs législatifs et réglementaires qu’il a et qui lui permettraient de prendre des mesures immédiates et décisives pour réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre du Canada dans une mesure suffisante pour que le pays atteigne des cibles de réduction réalistes et basées sur des recherches scientifiques, la Chambre exhorte donc le gouvernement à: a) user des pouvoirs législatifs, réglementaires et financiers qu’il possède déjà pour mettre sur pied immédiatement un plan national d’atténuation du changement climatique qui prévoie la mise en vigueur de règlements visant à réduire les rejets de gaz à effet de serre et qui s’applique à l’ensemble de l’économie et à investir dans les énergies renouvelables, les technologies propres et l’efficacité énergétique afin que le Canada puisse être compétitif dans la nouvelle économie verte; b) cesser de mettre l’avenir environnemental et économique du Canada en péril en l’obligeant à attendre que les États-Unis prennent des mesures au lieu de prendre ses propres initiatives dans ce dossier des plus vitaux; c) établir une cible canadienne et juridiquement contraignante de réduction à long terme des émissions de gaz à effet de serre consistant à les diminuer d’ici 2050 de 80 p. 100 sous leur niveau de 1990; d) faire un rapport annuel au Parlement sur les politiques et propositions élaborées pour atteindre la cible de 80 p. 100 et les corriger, au besoin; e) instituer un groupe apolitique d’experts approuvé par le Parlement et chargé d'établir une démarche fondée scientifiquement en vue d’atteindre la cible de réduction de 80 p. 100 de manière à ce que le Canada fasse sa part pour que la temp ...

Ensuring coherence in the legislative framework for financial services by, for example, harmonising core marketing and information rules and by regulating sectoral issues (banking, insurance, investment, etc.) and product-specific issues (mortgage credit, consumer credit, investment services, UCITS, life and non-life insurance, insurance intermediation, etc.): The Commission will also undertake a review of national rules relating to retail financial service contracts to ensure closer convergence and will inform the Member States on the conditions in which the case-by-case derogation provided for in Article 3(4) may be applied, enabling the Member States to apply on certain conditions, their national provisions to services coming from other Member States, with a view to defending public order or protecting consumers.
