D. transfer of certain MMB assets (cash + assets: total value +/- #39m) to a new cooperative, Milk Marque, for the collection and marketing of milk, and, via certificates of entitlement, to dairy producers.

On the basis of a new notification in March 1994 of the amended Reorganisation Scheme and the modifications to it announced by the United Kingdom authorities, the Commission now considers that the aid in the form of transfer of certain Milk Marketing Board assets to Milk Marque and to milk producers in England and Wales is not contrary to the "open market" principle.
Sur la base de la nouvelle notification de mars 1994 concernant le plan de réorganisation modifié ainsi que ses modifications, annoncée par les autorités du Royaume-Uni, la Commission estime dorénavant que l'aide sous forme de transfert de certains actifs du Milk Marketing Board à Milk Marque et aux producteurs laitiers d'Angleterre et du Pays de Galles n'est pas opposée au principe du "marché ouvert".

STATE AID/UNITED KINGDOM Aid No N 663/93 The Commission has decided to open the procedure provided for in Article 93(2) of the EEC Treaty in regard to aid taking the form of the transfer, scheduled for 1 April 1994, of the assets of the Milk Marketing Board for England and Wales (MMB) to a new cooperative for the collection and marketing of milk, to be called Milk Marque.
