If the House is to restrict the right of the Senate to send us private bills which contain financial powers for the applicants, there will be a significant problem for canals and international bridges that levy tolls and for churches and other bodies established under the authority of the Parliament of Canada.
Si la Chambre des communes restreint le droit du Sénat de lui envoyer des projets de loi privés qui accordent des pouvoirs financiers aux requérants, elle créera de sérieux problèmes aux agences chargées de ponts internationaux et de canaux qui exigent un péage, ainsi qu'aux confessions religieuses et aux autres organisations établies sous l'autorité du Parlement du Canada.
