(10) The provisions of subsection (8) shall not apply to an existing fishing vessel where, in the opinion of an inspector, the fitting of a remote control to the fuel tank outlet valve or cock would be impracticable, but in such a case, means shall be provided whereby the propelling engine may be stopped from a position outside the compartment in which the propelling engine is situated.
(10) Les dispositions du paragraphe (8) ne seront pas applicables aux bateaux de pêche existants lorsqu’un inspecteur est d’avis qu’il serait pratiquement impossible d’installer une commande à distance pour une soupape ou un robinet de sortie de la soute à combustible; en pareil cas, il sera prévu un moyen d’arrêter la machine motrice d’un point situé à l’extérieur du compartiment où se trouve cette machine.
