Once the tax base of the company has been established, the company's taxable profits will be shared out between the Member States in which the company is active using an apportionment formula (see below).

The Commission proposes to continue research into the issues that would be relevant to tax base (taxable profits) sharing, such as definitions of groups of companies and of income, formulae and weightings.
