Risks include not only the transmission of communicable diseases (viral, bacterial, and fungal infections, human, immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV)) but also the transmission of malignant diseases, such as the transmission of different types of cancers.
