Turning briefly to methadone, I would say that it is a substitution substance which does not resolve the problem of drug dependence and, worst of all, does not bring about the recovery of the drug addict: it is a bit like drugging up someone who is ill and administering pain killers without ever giving them an operation.
Pour revenir brièvement sur la méthadone, je dirais que c'est un produit de substitution qui ne résout pas le problème de la dépendance mais qui, surtout, n'aboutit pas à la réhabilitation de la personne toxicodépendante ; c'est un peu comme si l'on endormait, anesthésiait un malade sans jamais intervenir par une opération chirurgicale.
