(37) If a subcontracting agreement between competitors stipulates that the contractor will cease production of the product to which the agreement relates, the agreement constitutes a unilateral specialisation agreement which is covered, subject to certain conditions, by the Specialisation Block Exemption Regulation.

(4) Whereas accession to the Revised Agreement constitutes an aim of common trade policy in accordance with Article 113 of the Treaty to remove technical barriers to trade in motor vehicles between the Contracting Parties; whereas involvement by the Community will add weight to the harmonization activities conducted pursuant to that Agreement and will thus permit easier access to third-country markets; whereas that involvement must result in the establishment of consistency between the instruments referred to as 'Regulations`, adopted under the Revised Agreement, and Community legislation in this area;
(4) considérant que l'adhésion à l'accord révisé constitue un objectif de politique commerciale commune, conformément à l'article 113 du traité, consistant à éliminer les entraves techniques au commerce des véhicules à moteur entre les parties contractantes; que la participation de la Communauté renforcera l'importance du travail d'harmonisation effectué dans le cadre de cet accord et pourra ainsi faciliter l'accès aux marchés de pays tiers; que cette participation doit conduire à établir une cohérence entre les actes dénommés «règlements», adoptés dans le cadre de l'accord révisé, et la législation communautaire en la matière;
