109.1 (1) On application by a trade union, the Board may, by order, require an employer to give an authorized representative of the trade union mentioned in the order, or the Board, or both, the names and addresses of employees whose normal workplace is not on premises owned or controlled by their employer and authorize the trade union to communicate with those employees, by electronic means or otherwise, if the Board is of the opinion that such communication is required for purposes relating to soliciting trade union memberships, the negotiation or administration of a collective agreement, the processing of a grievance or the provision of a trade union service to employees.

21. Where the purchaser or an annuitant under an annuity contract dies outside Canada, a grant of letters probate, or similar document of a court or authority outside Canada may be proved by the production of a copy of such document duly certified or authenticated by a judge or officer of that court or authority or a notary public or in such other manner as is acceptable to the Minister.

Where a resolution authority purports to transfer or transfers all of the property, rights and liabilities of an institution to another entity, but the transfer is or may not be effective in relation to certain property because it is outside the Union, or to certain rights or liabilities because they are under the law of a territory outside the Union, the resolution authority shall not proceed to the transfer or, if it has already ordered the transfer, that transfer shall be void, and all property, rights and liabilities covered by the relevant arrangement specified in Article 69(2) are not transferred from, or revert to, the institution under resolution.

7. For the staff of beneficiaries located outside the Union part of the programme area, the managing authority may accept costs referred to in paragraph 1, including costs of travel to and from the location of an event or an action inside or outside the Union part of the programme area, as eligible, if incurred in accordance with Article 20(2) of Regulation (EU) No 1299/2013.

The Authority shall contribute to strengthening the European system of national deposit guarantee schemes by acting under the powers conferred to it in this Regulation to ensure the correct application of Directive 94/19/EC with the aim of ensuring that national deposit guarantee schemes are adequately funded by contributions from financial institutions including from those financial institutions established and taking deposits within the Union but headquartered outside the Union as provided for in Directive 94/19/EC and provide a high level of protection to all depositors in a harmonised framework throughout the Union, which leaves the stabilising safeguard role of mutual guarantee schemes intact, provided they comply with Union legislation.
