IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Without prejudice to Council Directive 96/29/Euratom of 13 May 1996 laying down basic safety standards for the protection of the health of workers and the general public against the dangers arising from ionizing radiation (3) and of Directive 2006/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2006 on the harmonisation of the laws of Member States relating to electrical equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits (4), at this stage, to safeguard citizens’ health and safety, only security scanners which do not use ionising radiation are added to the list of allowed methods for passenger screening for aviation security purposes.
Sans préjudice de la directive 96/29/Euratom du Conseil du 13 mai 1996 fixant les normes de base relatives à la protection sanitaire de la population et des travailleurs contre les dangers résultant des rayonnements ionisants (3) et de la directive 2006/95/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 12 décembre 2006 concernant le rapprochement des législations des États membres relatives au matériel électrique destiné à être employé dans certaines limites de tension (4), seuls les scanners de sûreté n’utilisant pas de rayonnements ionisants sont pour l’heure ajoutés à la liste des méthodes autorisées pour l’inspection/le filtrage des passagers à des fins de sûreté aérienne, de manière à préserver la santé et la sécurité des passagers.
