Roméo Antonius Dallaire: Turning that around, if the government stands by that position and is applying it in the case, as the leader says, of Omar Khadr, it would lead me to believe that the government has taken a deliberate decision, inasmuch as it has a Canadian citizen who was, first, in a conflict; second, shot; and third, taken prisoner — not arrested, but a prisoner in a conflict.
L'honorable Roméo Antonius Dallaire : En considérant la question sous un autre angle, si le gouvernement maintient sa position et l'applique dans l'affaire Omar Khadr, comme l'affirme madame le leader, je ne pourrai que conclure que le gouvernement a pris une décision délibérée, compte tenu du fait qu'il s'agit d'un citoyen canadien qui, premièrement, participait à un conflit, qui, deuxièmement, a été frappé par balle, et qui, troisièmement, a été fait prisonnier, non pas arrêté, mais bien fait prisonnier dans le cadre d'un conflit.
