15 (1) Subject to these Regulations, where an employee in respect of whom a transitional assistance benefit period has been established proves that he was unemployed and not entitled to a retirement pension under the Canada Pension Plan or the Quebec Pension Plan during any week in the transitional assistance benefit period, he is entitled, commencing with the week in which he makes an application for transitional assistance benefits and makes a claim for unemployment insurance benefits, if an unemployment insurance benefit period is then established with respect to him, to be paid transitional assistance benefits in respect of his unemployment during that week.

Every pre-retirement benefit period established under these Regulations in respect of an employee shall commence with the date on which his unemployment insurance benefit period is terminated and shall terminate when he attains the age of 65 years, or on the date on which he becomes eligible to receive retirement pension under the Canada Pension Plan or the Quebec Pension Plan, whichever is the earlier.

Private storage aid shall be granted only for cheese benefiting from a protected designation of origin (PDO) or from a protected geographical indication(PGI) which on the day when the storage contract commences has a minimum age corresponding to the period of maturation laid down in the product specification referred to in Article 7 of Regulation (EU) No 1151/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council (1) for that cheese as it will be marketed after the storage under contract increased by the maturing period beyond this period that contributes to increasing the value of the cheese.

3. Paragraph 2 shall apply mutatis mutandis to the members of the family of a former frontier worker or his/her survivors if, during the periods referred to in paragraph 2, they were entitled to benefits in kind under Article 18(2), even if the frontier worker died before his/her pension commenced, provided he/she had been pursuing an activity as an employed or self-employed person as a frontier worker for at least two years in the five years preceding his/her death.
