(3) Where a party wishes to appear before the Commission, the Commission shall sit at such place in Canada and at such time as may be fixed by the Commission, having regard to the convenience of the parties.

It is therefore appropriate to raise the awareness of citizens of the Union regarding the pivotal role of their vote in determining who will be the President of the Commission and regarding the candidates for that function who are supported by the parties they vote for in the elections to the European Parliament.

(27) In order to ensure uniform conditions for the implementation of this Regulation, implementing powers should be conferred on the Commission as regards the exemption to the obligation to inform market surveillance authorities about products presenting a risk, as regards the type of data carrier and its placement on the product for the purposes of the traceability system, as regards standardisation requests to European standardisation organisations and as regards decisions on formal objections to European standards.
(27) Pour garantir des conditions uniformes d’application du présent règlement, il convient de conférer des compétences d’exécution à la Commission en ce qui concerne l’exemption de l’obligation d’informer les autorités de surveillance du marché des produits présentant un risque, le type de dispositif de stockage des données utilisé dans le système de traçabilité et le placement dudit dispositif sur le produit, les demandes de normalisation adressées aux organisations européennes de normalisation et les décisions relatives aux objections formelles à l’encontre de normes européennes.

As the Commission department responsible for carrying out the tasks devolving on the Commission as regards the production of Community statistics, Eurostat is required to execute its tasks in accordance with the principles of impartiality, reliability, relevance, cost-effectiveness, statistical confidentiality and transparency, as laid down in Commission Decision 97/281/EC of 21 April 1997 on the role of Eurostat as regards the production of Community statistics .
