The Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) to be held in December 1996 will consider a report drawn up by the WTO's Committee on Trade and Environment (CTE) and will review the Committee's mandate ('to identify the relationship between trade measures and environmental measures, in order to promote sustainable development').
