By violating the principles of the primacy and uniform application of Community law, they deprive citizens and businesses of the individual benefit they are supposed to gain from Community law.

Therefore, if citizens consider a particular measure or administrative practice to be incompatible with Community law, they are advised to seek redress from national administrative or judicial authorities.
