he humanitarian and compassionate applications, whether it was the work of the NDP and the Bloc on designated countries, whether it was the member for Vaughan, if I can refer to myself, pushing for changes to timelines on humanitarian and compassionate grounds, or whether it was dealing with the minister—and may I say that receiving an e-mail at 2 a.m. or 4 a.m. was common dur

Quand je passe en revue certains des amendements importants au projet de loi C-11 qui ont déjà été mentionnés par le ministre, qu’ils aient été proposés par le Parti libéral qui a beaucoup insisté sur l’application du motif d’ordre humanitaire, par le NPD et le Bloc au sujet des pays désignés, par le député de Vaughan, si je peux me citer moi-même, pour ce qui est des délais s’appliquant aux demandes pour motifs d’ordre humanitaire ou mes échanges avec le ministre, car je dois dire que j’ai souvent reçu des courriels à 2 heures ou 4 heures du matin au cours de ces négociations, tout cela témoigne du désir d’accomplir cette réforme.
