There should be judicial, parliamentary, and civilian review of the activities of the RCMP and the INSETs and any other agency engaged in national security activities; we should amend the Access to Information Act to make sure the general public at large has access to information; and the definition of “national security” and “terrorist offences” ought to be cut down to a manageable size that conforms with, coheres with the types of large-scale attacks that are seen to justify the anti-terrorist provisions.
