If I were in the minister's shoes, or with the Department of Justice, I would not be in such a rush to adopt Bill C-7, given that those who will have to enforce it on a daily basis, in Saskatchewan, in Manitoba, in the Maritime Provinces and elsewhere, think that it is a bill that is far too complex and, if they could choose between money and the amendments, they would choose the money, which more and more resembles Quebec's position.
Si j'étais à la place de la ministre et du ministère de la Justice, je ne serais pas aussi pressé d'adopter ce projet de loi C-7, compte tenu que ceux qui vont l'appliquer au quotidien, en Saskatchewan, au Manitoba, dans les provinces Maritimes et ainsi de suite, disent que c'est un projet de loi excessivement complexe et que, s'ils avaient à choisir entre l'argent et les modifications, ils prendraient l'argent pour s'approcher de plus en plus de la position du Québec.
