TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

This communication is in line with the "EU-US Declaration on Strengthening our Economic Partnership" (PDF), which was adopted at the EU-US Summit at Dromoland Castle (Ireland) in 2004, during which the parties concerned put forward ideas on how to strengthen transatlantic economic integration. Reviewing and strengthening the partnership in this way can lend new impetus to relations between the EU and the United States.
Cette communication s'inscrit dans le cadre de la «déclaration sur le renforcement du partenariat économique» adoptée lors du sommet UE/États-Unis à Dromoland Castle (Irlande) en 2004 au cours duquel les parties intéressées ont présenté des idées sur les possibilités d'approfondir l'intégration économique transatlantique. Le partenariat revisité et renforcé est ainsi le moyen de donner un nouvel élan aux relations entre l'UE et les États-Unis.

The ‘Joint Declaration by the European Union and the Republic of India on Indo-European Water Partnership’ adopted at the Summit foresees strengthening technological, scientific and management capabilities in the field of water management and supports the Indian 'Clean Ganga' and 'Clean India' flagship projects.
La «déclaration conjointe de l’Union européenne et la République de l’Inde sur un partenariat Inde-UE pour l'eau», adoptée lors du sommet, prévoit le renforcement des capacités technologiques, scientifiques et de gestion dans le domaine de l’eau et soutient les projets phares indiens «Clean Ganga» et «Clean India».

8. Welcomes the positive progress in strengthening of the cultural dimension in the European Neighbourhood Policy in 2013, including the Eastern Partnership and the Union for the Mediterranean; emphasises the importance of the Tbilisi Declaration, the document of the very first Eastern Partnership Ministerial Conference on Culture, which calls for a shared commitment to support culture as a driver for growth and stability in the region; encourages the further implementation of the Eastern Partnership Culture Programme and further promotion of the dialogue on cultural policies within the programme "Media and Culture for the Development in the Southern Mediterranean".

The Joint Declaration of the European Community, on the one hand, and the Home Rule Government of Greenland and the Government of Denmark, on the other, on partnership between the European Community and Greenland, signed in Luxembourg on 27 June 2006, recalled the close historical, political, economic and cultural connections between the Union and Greenland and emphasised the need to strengthen further their partnership and cooperation.
La déclaration conjointe de la Communauté européenne, d’une part, et du gouvernement autonome du Groenland et du gouvernement du Danemark, d’autre part, relative au partenariat entre la Communauté européenne et le Groenland, signée à Luxembourg le 27 juin 2006, rappelait les liens historiques, politiques, économiques et culturels étroits établis entre l’Union et le Groenland et soulignait la nécessité de renforcer plus avant le partenariat et la coopération entre les parties.

Welcomes the Joint Declaration of the Warsaw Eastern Partnership Summit of 30 September 2011, as well as the Declaration on the situation in Belarus, in particular regarding the principles of democracy, human rights and the rule of law, the commitment to deeper bilateral engagement, both economic and political, including the willingness to progress in the Association Agreement negotiations, the strengthening of the multilateral co-operation among partners and the facilitation of mobility and the commitment to stepping up its implementation with clear benefits to the societies of partner countries;
78. accueille favorablement la déclaration commune du sommet du partenariat oriental qui s'est tenu à Varsovie le 30 septembre 2011, ainsi que la déclaration relative à la situation en Biélorussie, en particulier à propos des principes démocratiques, des droits de l'homme et de l'état de droit, de la promotion d'un renforcement de l'engagement bilatéral, économique comme politique, notamment la volonté de progresser dans la négociation des accords d'association, le renforcement de la coopération multilatérale entre les partenaires et la facilitation de la mobilité, ainsi que l'engagement à accélérer sa mise en œuvre avec des avantages nets pour les sociétés des pays partenaires;

10. Is of the view that the support for the United Nations system contained in the Declaration on the 60th anniversary of the signing of the UN Charter will strengthen universal democratic values worldwide only if the terms of the Declaration and UN Security Council resolutions are consistently applied when addressing the multifaceted threats and challenges on the ground; in this regard, shares the view that the spread of transparent, accountable and representative government, the rule of law and respect for human rights as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights are strategic priorities and moral necessities for the partners and as such must form a distinctive characteristic of the partnership;
10. est d'avis que l'appui au système des Nations unies, affirmé dans la déclaration sur le 60 anniversaire de la signature de la Charte des Nations unies, ne saura renforcer les valeurs démocratiques universelles à l'échelle mondiale qu'à la condition que les dispositions prévues dans la déclaration et dans les résolutions du Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies soient appliquées de manière cohérente pour faire face, sur le terrain, à des menaces et défis à multiples facettes; convient à cet égard que la promotion d'un modèle de gouvernement transparent, responsable et représentatif, l'État de droit et le respect des droits de l'homme, inscrits dans la Déclaration universelle des droits de l'homme, constituent des priorités stratégiques et des obligations morales pour les partenaires et doivent, à ce titre, former une caractéristique distinctive de ce partenariat;

IN FULFILMENT OF THE “EU-US DECLARATION ON STRENGTHENING OUR ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP” (HENCEFORTH THE “DROMOLAND DECLARATION”) AGREED AT THE 2004 EU-US SUMMIT, THIS COMMUNICATION SETS OUT A PACKAGE OF PROPOSED INITIATIVES TO BOOST EU-US TRADE AND INVESTMENT.
S’inscrivant dans le prolongement de la «déclaration UE/États-Unis sur le renforcement du partenariat économique» (ci-après dénommée «déclaration de Dromoland Castle») adoptée lors du sommet UE/États-Unis de 2004, la présente communication propose un ensemble d’initiatives pour stimuler le commerce et l’investissement entre les deux parties.

1. The “EU-US Declaration on Strengthening our Economic Partnership”, agreed at the 2004 EU-US Summit, called upon transatlantic partners to develop a forward-looking strategy to enhance the economic relationship between the US and the EU.
