The Pope reached out and touched the lives of millions of people, not only as the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church for 26 years but as a simple human being who lived through remarkable times.
Mme Yasmin Ratansi (Don Valley-Est, Lib.): Monsieur le Président, au nom de mes électeurs de Don Valley-Est, j'interviens pour rendre hommage au pape Jean-Paul II, qui a eu une vie extraordinaire. Le pape a touché la vie de millions de gens, non seulement à titre de pape de l'Église catholique romaine pendant 26 ans, mais en tant que simple être humain qui a vécu durant des temps assez remarquables.
