That this House commends the Government of Canada for the clear position it has taken against the Anti-Homosexuality Bill currently being debated in the Parliament of Uganda and encourages continued direct diplomatic efforts in conjunction with other countries and organizations to see the bill withdrawn, homosexuality fully decriminalized in Uganda, and the rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and transsexual Ugandans fully respected.
Que la Chambre félicite le gouvernement du Canada pour son opposition sans équivoque au projet de loi contre l'homosexualité qui fait actuellement l'objet de débats au Parlement de l'Ouganda, et encourage la poursuite d'efforts diplomatiques directs, de concert avec d'autres pays et organismes, visant le retrait du projet de loi, la décriminalisation totale de l'homosexualité en Ouganda et le respect total des droits des gais, des lesbiennes, des bisexuels, des transgenres et des transsexuels de l'Ouganda.
