This has often been used to push forward international processes such as Environment for Europe, the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership, the Governing Council of the United Nations Environment Programme, the UN Commission on Sustainable Development, the WTO Committee on trade and Environment, the Intergovernmental Forum on Forests, the Global Plan of Action on Land-based Sources of Marine Pollution (Washington GPA), or the Intergovernmental Forum on Chemical Safety (IFCS).
