IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

The ERIC Regulation was amended in December 2013[2] to allow better reflection of the contributions of associated countries in the ERIC by putting those countries at a more equivalent level as Member States in the governing bodies of the ERIC in terms of voting rights in the light of the possible hosting of ERICs in associated countries which would lead to an increased participation of associated countries in ERICs.

After the establishment of an ERIC, the Commission services have a limited role in the ERIC activities which are governed and steered by the ERIC members within the boundary conditions of the ERIC Regulation, the Statutes and Implementing Rules adopted for the ERIC.

Mr. Eric Hunter: I'm not aware of that, but I think the reference within CEPA to harmonization is of value, and certainly, as one of the regulated community we want to see as much harmonization and uniformity in regulation as possible, so it's easier for us to understand and easier for us to work with.
