IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Since the objective of this Regulation, namely to establish a European Union Agency for Network and Information Security for the purpose of contributing to a high level of network and information security within the Union and in order to raise awareness and develop and promote a culture of network and information security in society for the benefit of citizens, consumers, enterprises and public sector organisations in the Union, thus contributing to the establishment and proper functioning of the internal market, cannot be sufficiently achieved by the Member States and can therefore be better achieved at Union level, the Union may adopt measures, in accordance with the principle of subsidiarity as set out in Article 5 of the Treaty on European Union.
Étant donné que l’objectif du présent règlement, à savoir instituer une Agence de l’Union européenne pour la sécurité des réseaux et de l’information en vue de contribuer à un niveau élevé de sécurité des réseaux et de l’information dans l’Union, et en vue de sensibiliser la société et de favoriser l’émergence et promouvoir, dans la société, une culture de la sécurité des réseaux et de l’information, dans l’intérêt des citoyens, des consommateurs, des entreprises et des organismes du secteur public de l’Union, contribuant ainsi à l’établissement et au bon fonctionnement du marché intérieur, ne peut pas être atteint de manière suffisante par les États membres et peut donc être mieux atteint au niveau de l’Union, celle-ci peut prendre des mesures conformément au principe de subsidiarité consacré à l’article 5 du traité sur l’Union européenne.

1. This Regulation establishes a European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA, hereinafter ‘the Agency’) to undertake the tasks assigned to it for the purpose of contributing to a high level of network and information security within the Union and in order to raise awareness of network and information security and to develop and promote a culture, of network and information security in society for the benefit of citizens, consumers, enterprises and public sector organisations in the Union, thus contributing to the establishment and proper functioning of the internal market.
1. Le présent règlement institue une Agence de l’Union européenne chargée de la sécurité des réseaux et de l’information (ENISA, ci-après dénommée «Agence») afin d’exécuter les tâches qui lui sont assignées en vue de contribuer à un niveau élevé de sécurité des réseaux et de l’information au sein de l’Union et en vue de sensibiliser la société à la sécurité des réseaux et de l’information et de favoriser l’émergence et promouvoir une culture de la sécurité des réseaux et de l’information, dans l’intérêt des citoyens, des consommateurs, des entreprises et des organismes du secteur public de l’Union, contribuant ainsi à l’établissement et au bon fonctionnement du marché intérieur.

Giving a new boost to jobs, growth and investment – through the European Fund for Strategic Investment (EFSI 2.0), revamped Trade Defence Instruments, the Banking Union, the Capital Markets Union, and the improvement of waste management in the circular economy; Addressing the social dimension of the European Union – through the Youth Employment Initiative, improved social security coordination, the European Accessibility Act and the European Solidarity Corps; Better protecting the security of our citizens – through the Entry-Exit System, Smart Borders and the European Travel Information Authorisation System (ETIAS), the control of firearms, instruments to criminalise terrorism, money laundering and terrorist financing, and the European Criminal Records Information Systems (ECRIS); Reforming and developing our migration policy in a spirit of responsibility and solidarity – through the reform of the Common European Asylum System (including the Dublin mechanism), the Legal Migration package and the External Investment Plan to help to address the root causes of migration by enhancing investment and job creation in partner countries; Delivering on our commitment to implement a connected Digital Single market – through the EU telecoms and copyright reforms, the Union of the 700 MHz band, preventing unjustified geo-blocking, the Audiovisual Media Services Directive and common data protection rules; Delivering on our objective of an ambitious Energy Union and a forward looking climate change policy - through the 2030 climate and energy framework, the Paris Agreement and the Clean Energy for all Europeans package.

1. The Republic of Chile shall take appropriate measures to ensure that EU classified information is protected in accordance with the security regulations of the Council of the European Union, contained in Council Decision 2011/292/EU (1) and future Council decisions on the security rules for protecting EU classified information and in accordance with further guidance issued by competent authorities, including by the EU Operation Commander concerning an EU military crisis management operation, or by the Head of Mission concerning an EU civilian crisis management operation.

La République du Chili prend les mesures appropriées pour assurer la protection des informations classifiées de l’Union européenne conformément au règlement de sécurité du Conseil de l’Union européenne contenu dans la décision 2011/292/UE du Conseil (1) et dans toute décision ultérieure du Conseil concernant les règles de sécurité aux fins de la protection des informations classifiées de l’Union européenne, et conformément aux autres orientations émises par les autorités compétentes, notamment par le commandant de l’opération de l’Union européenne dans le cas d’une opération militaire de gestion de crise menée par l’Union européenne ou le chef de mission dans le cas d’une opération civile de gestion de crise menée par l’Union européenne.

The Member States of the European Union (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Parties’) recognise that full and effective consultation and cooperation may require the exchange of classified information among them in the interests of the European Union, and between them and European Union institutions or agencies, bodies or offices established by the latter.

Since the objective of this Decision, namely the development of a computerised system for the exchange of information on convictions between Member States, cannot be adequately achieved by the Member States unilaterally, and can therefore, by reason of the necessity for coordinated action in the European Union, be better achieved at the level of the European Union, the Council may adopt measures, in accordance with the principle of subsidiarity referred to in Article 2 of the Treaty on European Union and set out in Article 5 of the Treaty establishing the European Community.
Étant donné que l’objectif de la présente décision, à savoir le développement d’un système informatisé d’échanges d’informations sur les condamnations pénales entre les États membres, ne peut pas être réalisé de manière satisfaisante unilatéralement par les États membres, et peut donc, en raison de la nécessité d’une action concertée au niveau de l’Union européenne, être mieux réalisé au niveau de celle-ci, le Conseil peut prendre des mesures conformément au principe de subsidiarité visé à l’article 2 du traité sur l’Union européenne et consacré à l’article 5 du traité instituant la Communauté européenne.
