– (IT) Mr President, it appears that protection of the European Union’s financial interests is being taken as an excuse for the creation – and this seems to be the principle aim – of a super-prosecutor, which is virtually bound up with the establishment of the European arrest warrant, on a line seeking to replace national jurisdictions: a line on which the Italian Government has taken a stance of clear opposition, with precise explanations given on several occasions.
- (IT) Monsieur le Président, la protection des intérêts financiers de l'Union européenne semble servir de prétexte à la création - et ceci semble être l'objectif principal - d'un super-procureur, quasiment un trait d'union avec l'institution du mandat d'arrêt européen, selon une approche visant à remplacer les juridictions nationales : une approche par rapport à laquelle le gouvernement italien a adopté une position nettement opposée, dûment motivée à plusieurs reprises.
