Some is from taxpayer grants, some may be from the sale of resources from First Nation lands, some may be from First Nation businesses, from First Nation taxes and from other fees and charges collected by First Nations. While we agree that all accounting for the expenditure of tax money or public monies can and should be made public, we submit that there is no justification to require public disclosure of the full consolidated financial statements of First Nations.
