Well, the message is that we don't need to prepare for implementation of Bill C-7, that this is a piece of legislation that is totally unimportant, that it will be set aside, and that we are waiting for a new Administration to take over and take control of the affairs of state, so that all the work we're doing now is absolutely pointless, we are working in a total vacuum, and that talking about this, or even passing the Bill at second and third readings will be an absolute waste of time, because the next Prime Minister has said he would throw this legislation in the garbage and hold real consultations with First Nations.
C'est qu'on n'a pas besoin de se préparer aux dispositions du projet de loi C-7, que c'est un projet de loi qui est sans importance, qu'on le met de côté et qu'on attend qu'une nouvelle administration prenne le dessus, prenne les affaires de l'État, et que tout le travail qu'on fait à l'heure actuelle ne vaut absolument rien, qu'on travaille totalement dans le vide et que discuter de cela et même adopter le projet de loi en deuxième et en troisième lecture ne donnera strictement rien, parce que le prochain premier ministre a dit qu'il mettrait cette loi-là à la poubelle et qu'il irait consulter véritablement les premières nations.
