In the early days, before the public was as educated as they are getting to be, when we would arrest a teacher, a doctor, a soccer coach or someone with a vocation that put them in constant communication and contact with children, the public typically just could not understand and they found it shocking that such a person in such a vocation would get arrested.
Au débit, le public n'était pas aussi informé qu'il ne l'est aujourd'hui. Lorsque nous procédions à l'arrestation d'un enseignant, d'un médecin, d'un entraîneur de soccer ou de toute personne dont la profession exigeait des communications et des rapports réguliers avec les enfants, en général, la population ne comprenait tout simplement pas et elle trouvait choquant qu'une personne qui exerce une telle profession soit mise en état d'arrestation.
