Je remercie également l’ensemble des représentants de la Croatie, qui ont largement contribué à préparer le processus de rapprochement de leur pays avec l’Union européenne - son ambassadeur auprès de l’Union, son négociateur en chef, son ministre des affaires étrangères et, par-dessus tout, son Premier ministre, M. Sanader, qui s’est démené au cours des dernières années de son mandat pour faire avancer les négociations. Je remercierai également l’ancien Premier ministre, M. Račan, un ami personnel qui, malheureusement, est aujourd’hui gravement malade.
