The specific objectives of ENVIREG are to: - reduce pollution in coastal areas, particularly the Mediterranean regions, by contributing to the treatment, recycling and re-use of waste water and urban waste in average-sized towns; - promote coastal area planning in such a way as to preserve the natural beauty and protect and enhance the biotopes of those areas; - contribute to the control and management of toxic and hazardous industrial waste on the one hand, by encouraging firms to produce less waste and to use production processes that are less costly in terms of consumption of water and raw materials; - develop know-how and training in the above fields.
Les objectifs spécifiques d'ENVIREG sont de : - diminuer la pollution des zones côtières, en particulier méditerranéennes, en contribuant notamment à traiter les eaux usées et les déchets urbains des villes moyennes, leur recyclage et leur réutilisation ; - promouvoir un aménagement du littoral qui en préserve la beauté naturelle et, en les valorisant, protège leurs biotopes ; - contribuer à la maîtrise de la gestion des déchets industriels toxiques et dangereux d'une part, en incitant les entreprises à réduire leurs production de déchets et à promouvoir des processus de production plus économes en eau et en matières premières ; - développer le savoir-faire et la formation dans les domaines indiqués aux points précédents.
