Taking into account the close historical relationship and progressively closer links between the Parties, as well as their desire to strengthen and widen relations in an ambitious and innovative way, the negotiations on the Association Agreement between the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community and their Member States, of the one part, and Georgia, of the other part (‘the Agreement’), were successfully finalised by the initialling of the Agreement on 29 November 2013.
Eu égard aux relations étroites qui unissent les parties de longue date, aux liens qui les rapprochent progressivement davantage et à leur souhait de renforcer et de développer ces rapports de manière ambitieuse et innovante, les négociations relatives à l’accord d’association entre l’Union européenne et la Communauté européenne de l’énergie atomique et leurs États membres, d’une part, et la Géorgie, d’autre part (ci-après dénommé «accord»), ont été menées à bien et ont abouti au paraphe de l’accord le 29 novembre 2013.
