G. whereas according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) an estimated 6.4 million persons are internally displaced in Syria, and according to the Office for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO) an estimated 10.8 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance; whereas so far in 2014 the EU has contributed EUR 150 million in humanitarian aid for the victims of the Syrian crisis;
G. considérant que l'office de l'ONU pour la coordination des affaires humanitaires (OCHA) estime à environ 6,4 millions le nombre de personnes déplacées en Syrie et que le service d'aide humanitaire et de protection civile (ECHO) estime à 10,8 millions le nombre de personnes qui ont besoin d'une aide humanitaire; qu'à ce jour, l'Union européenne a alloué une enveloppe de 150 millions d'euros à l'aide humanitaire destinée aux victimes du conflit syrien;

E. whereas according to the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) 2.9 million refugees have fled abroad to escape the fighting in Syria; whereas 1.2 million Iraqis have been internally displaced; whereas 10.8 Syrians need humanitarian aid and 1 million Iraqis are living in refugee camps or receiving emergency supplies; whereas the upsurge of the IS has produced a humanitarian crisis, notably a massive displacement of civilians;
E. considérant que, selon le Bureau de coordination des affaires humanitaires de l'ONU, 2,9 millions de réfugiés auraient fui à l'étranger pour échapper aux combats en Syrie; que 1,2 millions d'Iraquiens sont des déplacés de l'intérieur; que 10,8 millions de Syriens ont besoin d'aide humanitaire et qu'un million d'Iraquiens vivent dans des camps de réfugiés ou reçoivent une aide d'urgence; que la rapide montée en puissance de l'État islamique a provoqué une crise humanitaire, en particulier le déplacement massif de populations civiles;

That cooperation should be pursued in accordance with the actions undertaken by the United Nations, in order to support the central and overall coordinating role of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN-OCHA).
