In addition to monitoring the Albacore fishery, the Member States and the Commission considered that the inspection scheme anticipated, could be used to carry out additional control and monitoring of catches and landings of other species in ICES sub-areas VII and VIII. These matters will be considered further at a meeting in the near future.
