Considers the question of the freedom of religion and belief worldwide – notably of Christians, persecuted or endangered minorities and religious dissidents – and the inter-faith dialogue a new key issue for the CFSP; stresses that freedom of religion and belief is a core human right, and inter-faith dialogue an instrument to tackle religiously motivated discrimination and violence, thus contributing to political and societal stability; therefore calls on the VP/HR to develop, as a matter of urgency, an EU strategy on the enforcement of the human right to freedom of religion and belief; also invites her to establish a permanent capacity within the human rights directorate of the EEAS to monitor the situation of governmental and societal restrictions on the freedom of religion and belief and related rights;

The dialogue shall focus, inter alia, on specific political issues of mutual concern or of general significance for the attainment of the objectives of this Agreement, such as the arms trade, excessive military expenditure, drugs, organised crime or child labour, or discrimination of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.
